OVERVIEW OF OUR RESEARCH
Ben-David Lab is focused on wheat research and breeding that combine both field studies and advanced genomic breeding tools. Research projects of our lab are focused on yield and other agronomic traits that could be test directly in the field. Research products are in many cases pre-breeding materials, which is streamed directly to our breeding program. We are running only the Israeli governmental (Ministry of Agriculture) breeding program of winter cereals which focus mainly on bread wheat, but it also includes the breeding for the following niches: durum wheat, emmer wheat, spelt, barley, triticale and oat.
